MAKTEK Eurasia 2026: German Manufacturers Represented in Istanbul

Before the doors even open, MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 in Istanbul is recording remarkable success: all 14 exhibition halls are already fully booked. Among more than 1,000 expected companies, brands and representatives from over 30 countries, there are also numerous German manufacturers who will be present at the major Eurasian trade fair for manufacturing technologies.

Record demand before the trade fair begins

MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 takes place from September 28 to October 3, 2026 at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul. Even before the official opening, the entire exhibition area of 120,000 square meters in 14 halls is occupied – the exhibitors' demand has thus exceeded the available capacity. The event is organized by Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. in cooperation with the Machine Tools Industrialists and Business Association (TİAD) and supported by the Turkish Machine Manufacturers Association (MİB) and the Turkish Ministry of Commerce.

İlhan Ersözlü, General Manager of Tüyap Fairs Production Inc., puts the success into perspective: "The full utilization of all 14 halls demonstrates the high international interest in MAKTEK Eurasia. The trade fair has developed into an important industry meeting point for manufacturing technologies in Turkey and the Eurasian region. It also opens up new access to international markets for companies and presents Turkish engineering and production expertise on an international level."

Main theme "DAHA": Faster, more efficient, smarter

Under the motto "DAHA", the 2026 edition stands for a production approach that should become faster, more efficient, more precise and more intelligent. The center of the exhibition features next-generation CNC systems, robotics and automation solutions as well as digital manufacturing technologies and smart factory applications. The offering is complemented by solutions for Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0, digital twin technologies and data-driven production systems.

Many international brands also use the trade fair to present new products for the first time worldwide or for the first time on the Turkish market. Osman Fatih İğrek, Chairman of the MİB, emphasizes the strategic significance: "Technology, production capacity and industry cooperation are central to sustainable growth in mechanical engineering. MAKTEK Eurasia strengthens the current capabilities of the industry and creates an environment in which manufacturers can evaluate technologies and partnerships that will influence future investments."

New MAKTEKVERSE format expands the concept

With MAKTEKVERSE, MAKTEK Eurasia expands the classic trade fair format with an experience-oriented area. In the Tech-Force Area, students, young engineers and start-ups have the opportunity to learn about innovative manufacturing technologies and get in contact with the industry. The Effect-Force Area, in turn, brings together established industry representatives to exchange knowledge and experience. In this way, the trade fair positions itself not only as a pure trading platform, but also as a place for fostering young talent and professional exchange.

Bridge between the Middle East and Turkish production

For manufacturers, investors, purchasing teams and technology providers from the Middle East, the trade fair offers direct access to Turkish industrial infrastructure as well as to European and Eurasian markets as a whole. Istanbul's geographical location as an interface between Europe and Asia makes MAKTEK Eurasia a strategically important appointment for international business relations.

The previous edition of the trade fair in 2024 already recorded impressive figures: 1,049 exhibitors from 33 countries presented themselves to around 87,000 visitors from 77 countries. These figures underscore the growing significance of the event, which takes place every two years in Istanbul and has now reached its ninth edition.

Outlook

With the early complete utilization of all halls, MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 is already sending a strong signal before its opening for the attractiveness of Turkey as a manufacturing technology location. The participation of German manufacturers underscores that German engineering expertise remains in demand in Eurasian growth markets. For exhibitors and trade visitors from Germany, the trade fair in September 2026 should therefore be an important opportunity to establish new business contacts in a dynamic growth region and to experience current trends in automation, digitalization and smart manufacturing firsthand.
